This study examined the relationship between manager’s international orientation, firm resources, and export readiness of selected floriculture firms in Uganda. Specifically, the study aimed to establish the relationship between manager’s international orientation and export readiness, firm resources and export readiness, manager’s international orientation and firm resources as well as establishing the mediating effect of firm resources in the relationship between manager’s international orientation and export readiness in selected floriculture firms in Uganda. The study employed a cross-sectional research design with quantitative methods to capture the relationship between each of the variables. A total of 65 officials from selected floriculture firms were targeted and 57 of these were sampled. Descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and mediation analyses were employed in the analysis. The correlation coefficient analysis revealed positive and significant relationships between manager’s international orientation (r=.675, p<.01), firm resources (r=.600, p<.01,) and export readiness which imply that both variables are very significant in improving the level of export readiness in selected floriculture firms in Uganda. When controlling for firm resources, the direct effect of the manager’s international orientation on export readiness reduced from Beta=.505 to Beta=.376 which remains significant. This is an indication that the relationship between manager’s international orientation and export readiness is partially mediated by firm resources. The results were supported by previous studies, that is; there was a significant positive relationship between all pairs of the study variables. However, the relationship was stronger between firm resources and export readiness. The study recommends that it is important that the selected floriculture firms invest in obtaining adequate resources including raw materials, human capital and information technology. This is because the study established that there isa marginal lack among the firms studied. Regarding managers’ international orientation and export readiness of selected floriculture firms in Uganda, there is a need to invest more in promoting awareness of international opportunities and foreign cultural awareness as this will render firms and managers more able to perform. This is because it is established that there is adequate unawareness of them. Further, there is a need to ensure that managers obtain the required awareness or knowledge of international opportunities available and foreign cultural practices so that the level of export readiness improves.
