Stakeholder Involvement, Resource Mobilisation on Sustainability among Legal Aid Service Providers in Kampala Capital City Authority.

Abstract
The study was carried out to examine the relationship between stakeholder involvements, resource mobilization and sustainability among legal aid service providers (LASP) in Kampala Capital City Authority. The study was conducted basing on three objectives namely to; assess the relationship between stake holder involvement and sustainability among LASP, assess the relationship between resource mobilization and sustainability among LASP and the combined effect of stakeholder involvement and resource mobilization on sustainability among LASP. According to the Legal Aid Service Providers Network (LASPNET) (2020), there are 53 Non state legal aid service providers in Kampala Capital City Authority. Four individuals in each selected entity were interviewed to get a total sample of 155 respondents. The focus of the investigation and research were legal aid service proprietors, project managers, legal officers and finance officers who are knowledgeable in projects activities in these entities in Kampala Capital City Authority. A questionnaire was used to gather quantitative data, and the tool's content validity was examined. Data was entered into SPSS, cleaned and assessed for reliability and validity. The study objectives formed the basis for the results that were reported. Findings revealed positive and significant association between stakeholder involvements on sustainability among LASP, if managers are transparent and involve primary stakeholders the projects will be sustainable. The results of the study findings also indicated a positive and significant association between resource mobilization and sustainability of LASP in Kampala Capital City Authority, if managers know the sources of funds to help support them they will gain economic viability. There also exists a significant and positive combined effect of stakeholder involvement, resource mobilization on sustainability among legal aid service providers. Thus, providing evidence in support of the findings of previous studies. This study recommends stakeholders must he involved in the initial stages of project initiation and implementation and that LASP should diversify theirs funding base by exploring other sources of finances. The study further recommends the need to foster collaborative relationships with other organizations, such as the government, legal aid service provider’s networks, nonprofit service providers, CBOs donors, and the law firms to create a more sustainable network of support and also share resources.
