The study found that social capital and community participation predicted sustainability of development projects. Moreover, it revealed that community participation was a better predictor of sustainability. This study recommends that there is need to develop an efficient social capital mix to support development projects attain their economic, social and environmental sustainability. For instance, there is need for a training program conducted directly to strengthen relational capital, structural capital and cognitive capital among project members in improving sustainability. Furthermore, there is need for development projects to continuously allow communities to participate in their projects. For example, community participation allows communities to own up the projects which would enhance their sustainability.
