- ItemMarket Complexity, Supplier Relationship Management and Supply Chain Agility of Manufacturing Companies in Mogadishu.(Makerere University Business School, 2022-07-25) Abubakar Mohamud MohamedThe study examined the relationship between supplier relationship management, market complexity, and supply chain agility of Mogadishu manufacturing companies. The study was premised on the following research objectives: to examine the relationship between supplier relationship management and supply chain agility, to assess the relationship between market complexity and supply chain agility, to establish the relationship between supplier relationship management and Market Complexity and to assess the combined effect of supplier relationship management and market complexity on supply chain agility. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design along with a quantitative research approach. In this study, the researcher distributed 176 questionnaires all of which were returned 140 of them representing a response rate of 80%. Quantitative data analysis was done using regression and correlation analyses. Study findings revealed a strong positive relationship between supplier relationship management, market complexity and supply chain agility. Findings revealed that having a good relationship with their supplier enables companies to deliver quality product swiftly to the customers which increases customer satisfaction. Also, results showed that companies which interacts with many other different organizations in marketing have the opportunity to exchange accurate Information between with their trading partners. Lastly, firms that frequently change the way they market their products, are able to change orders according to their customers ‘requests. It was recommended that manufacturing companies need to build good relationship with their trading partners most especially the suppliers and finally, Supplier relationship management should be prioritized in manufacturing companies.
