| dc.description | The main challenge faced by managers is to oversee and arrange every aspect of an event, which include planning, organizing and controlling events activities and production, yet the manager should minimize costs and resources. This study was about a web based event management system for a resource rental company that will improve the company manager’s co-ordination of processes with in the company to delivery event resource services to the different events on different dates, which event resources services are booked by the customers. Data collection methods used included interviews, observations and document review of the company records. It was discovered that the current system was paper based. The proposed system includes a website interface that can be accessed by the customers for booking, accountants and transport website interfaces to update the system and the manager interface to monitor and control the whole process. The researcher recommends the use of this automated system in a resource rent company, companies that hire events resources like chairs, tables and tents. | |
