Abstract
Description
A dissertation.
Although the importance of adequate funding for proper solid waste management can not be over emphasized, Nakawa Division for the last five years did not allocate enough funds for solid waste collection and disposal. During the financial year 2002/2003, only 70% of the required budget for solid waste management in Nakawa was approved. As a result, only 45-50% of the generated solid waste in the entire division was collected, leading to repaeated occurence of sanitation related diseases like cholera and dynsentry.
