| dc.description.abstract | This study examined the impact of financing mechanisms and creativity practices on the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nakawa Division. A cross-sectional survey design was adopted. Using a systematic sampling technique, primary data was collected from 298 SMEs (sample, 377) selected from a total population of 17,573 SMEs in the division. Data was gathered through a valid and reliable self-administered questionnaire featuring closed-ended questions. Analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25 to generate both descriptive and inferential statistics. Correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between financing mechanisms, creativity practices, and SME growth. Furthermore, both financing mechanisms and creativity practices were found to significantly and positively predict the growth of SMEs in the area. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development and implementation of policies that promote effective financing mechanisms and foster creativity practices to support SME growth. The study contributes to the current body of knowledge by asserting that proper financing mechanisms such as internal and external financing and good creativity practices that is both at individual and organizational levels facilitate growth of SMEs in terms of profitability, market share and sales volume. | |
