Abstract
Description
This is a sequel to Beekeeping: Theory and Practice by the same author. this book is written in a question and answer format to make the life of any ardent reader easy. Wish you great reading
Beekeeping, unlike other agricultural enterprises does not require very high investment and intensive labour for routine management. Yet, beekeeping provides an avenue for production of nutritious honey and many other products and provision of several services. However, limited literature exists on tropical beekeeping and the available materials are written in lengthy prose formats, which discourage reading and hence learning. A lot of the details regarding honey bees is hardly known and understood by many potential beekeepers/Apiarists. “Beekeeping Simplified” comes in an easy to read format, with easy to understand facts and procedures, all presented in a question and answer format. This book goes to some lengths to explain how beekeeping can help to minimise poverty, enhance household incomes and transform communities. The book will be of valuable use to beekeepers, extension service workers, policy-makers and students of agriculture, forestry and agro-ecology at different levels of their careers
