dc.description | Using scanning electron microscopy, the effect of natural weathering on the micro-structure of radiata pine was investigated. The study suggested that under the weather conditions prevailing in Canberra, Australia at the time, deterioration of the exposed surfaces was readily apparent after only four months. Complete surface degradation and erosion of some tissue was observed after only six months. | |
