This study aimed at establishing the influence of global purchasing strategy, procurement internal controls and information integration on procurement performance in the humanitarian organizations in Uganda. Based on a review of literature five research objectives and research questions were set. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was undertaken to establish the behaviour of the study variables through the analysis of the responses using SPSS. Analysis of the responses demonstrated that global purchasing strategy, procurement internal controls and information integration are significant predictors of procurement performance. Therefore, on this basis, it is recommended that humanitarian organizations invest more in advanced information systems to enhance information flow, embrace and implement uniform umbrella procurement regulatory system for procurement activities and appreciate coordination of International Humanitarian organizations with local humanitarian organizations. However, further research is needed to identify the dimensions that are incidental to procurement performance in humanitarian relief as well as the impact of response time to supply chain performance in humanitarian relief and other sectors like banking and financial services. The research also has policy implications and makes a contribution to knowledge in the humanitarian supply chain literature.
