The study was conducted to examine the relationship between employee training, innovation and sustainability practices of sports facilities in Central Uganda. The study adopted a cross sectional survey design. Correlation and regression analysis were performed to explain the relationships between the variables of the study and the extent to which the independent variables explain the dependent variable. The study sample consisted of a random sample of 134 sports facilities in Central Uganda. The data obtained from the field was tested for reliability using SPSS Cronbach‟s alpha coefficient (Cronbach, 1951) test and the results indicated that the instrument was reliable since it was above the cutoff value of 0.7. The empirical findings from the study revealed that there is a strong positive significant relationship between employee training, innovation and sustainability practices of sports facilities. As such, the joint effect of employee training and innovation on sustainability practices of sports facilities is 79.1%. This indicates that other than employee training and innovation, there are other factors that impact on sustainability practices of sports facilities that can be explored by other studies. The study also recommends that there is need to develop programmes to train employees, managers and owners of sports facilities in Uganda should be put in place by both the sports facilities owners and the government. This will help employees, managers and sports facilities owners to develop skills, knowledge and competences that will promote sustainability practices of sports facilities in Uganda. The study also recommends the need to promote innovation through research and development, facilities employee‟s innovation projects, recognizing innovate employees and rewarding successful innovations. These strategies will make employees more innovative and ultimately promote sustainability practices of sports facilities in Uganda, a longitudinal study may also be carried out to understand the gradual interplay of training, innovation and how this influence sustainability practices of sports facilities in Uganda
