A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted using a sample of 166 agro processing firms out of a sample size of 210 firms that were contacted. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires that were hand delivered to the respondents. Overall, 249 usable questionnaires from the 166 firms representing 79.0 % response rate were collected for analysis. The analysis of data involved descriptive statistics for demographics, correlations and regression analyses for answering the research questions in accordance with the set objectives. The results revealed positive and significant relationships between the following variables; supply chain risk management capability and supply chain performance, innovation capability and supply chain performance. Furthermore; supply chain risk management capability, and innovation capability was found to account for up to 50.4% of the variance in supply chain performance. Based on the study findings, recommendations were advanced regarding the need to strengthen supply Chain Risk Management Capabilities so to enhance supply Chain performance in Ugandan agro-processing firms.
