Abstract
This research investigates the impact of the ADX Digitalization Project on digital banking solutions at I&M Bank Uganda. The study identifies key factors influencing the adoption of the project, examines challenges hindering its implementation, and proposes strategies to enhance adoption efficacy. Employing a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach, data were collected from a representative sample of 175 employees using structured questionnaires, analyzed through descriptive statistics, including mean scores and standard deviations. Key findings reveal that accessibility to accurate and timely data (Mean = 4.48, SD = 0.630) and favorable policy frameworks (Mean = 4.45, SD = 0.619) are critical factors driving the adoption of the ADX project. Conversely, challenges such as affordability (Mean = 4.50, SD= 0.591) and legacy systems (Mean = 4.46, SD = 0.610) significantly hinder progress. The study highlights the importance of user-friendly digital platforms (Mean = 4.48, SD = 0.630) and ongoing employee training as essential strategies for improving adoption rates. The research concludes that successful adoption of the ADX Digitalization Project is contingent upon robust digital infrastructure, enhanced employee digital literacy, and supportive regulatory frameworks. Addressing identified challenges through targeted interventions is crucial for maximizing the potential benefits of digital banking at I&M Bank Uganda. This study contributes to the academic discourse on digital transformation in banking, offering practical insights for financial institutions in developing economies.
