- ItemImproving Financial Services Provision To The Members Of Exodus Savings and Credit Co-operative (SACCO)(2024-12) AYEBALE JOVIA NIGHTThe study sought to investigate strategies to enhance financial services for the members of Exodus Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (SACCO). In particular, the study sought to evaluate the current levels of financial services provision, identify key challenges faced in provision of financial services, and propose actionable strategies to improve service delivery. The study used a cross-sectional research design along with a descriptive research approach. A questionnaire was used to collect data using a sample size of 380 respondents from the study population of 42,990 members of Exodus SACCO, using Krejcie and Morgans’ table for sample size determination. The data were tested using reliability and validity, analyzed using SPSS version 25 and results presented based on the study objectives. The findings of the study revealed varying levels of service adequacy, with significant challenges including lack of information regarding financial services, failure to embrace financial services technology, high cost of financial services offered, inadequate financial literacy, and inadequate sensitization regarding financial services available. Based on the challenges, the study proposes targeted strategies such as flexing financial terms and conditions, conduct research and development before introducing any financial service, updating customers on any financial service rendered, and effective communication. The recommendations aim to improve service quality, member satisfaction, and overall financial stability of Exodus SACCO, ultimately contributing to its sustainable growth and enhanced member benefit.
