    Exploring Digital Resources for Progressing Academic Writing Among Mba Students in Makerere University Business School (Mubs).

    This study was guided by three main objectives namely, to profile available academic digital tools that could aid students’ academic writing progress, the awareness and use of the same, and the possible contribution of the digital tools in fostering graduate students’ academic writing progress. The study adopted an appreciative inquiry research and qualitative approach. Students and supervisors of the MBA students who are at the level of their research component of their programme were eligible to participate in the study. 18 participants who were selected through a point of data saturation principle participated in the study. The findings revealed a substantial list of available digital tools that range from language, reverencing, diagrams and analysis tools among others. Some of the tools have more capabilities than others and others are availed at a fee. In terms of knowledge and usage, the result revealed that students agreed that some of the digital tools have been an integral part of their studies while some tools the students knew about them but they do not use them on the account of the price tag or lack competence. In respect to the contribution of digital tools in aiding academic writing progress, the respondents indicated that by large, digital tools are essential in fostering academic writing progress. In addition, other factors including supervisors’ behavior towards students, supervisors’ availability and feedback, supervisor-student ratio, and student’s competence in academic writing, and students’ level of concentration and resilience emerged to be other factors that influence academic writing progress.
