Nonetheless, quality management among maize farmers remains low. Accordingly, this study was established to examine the relationship between agro-credit facility, value-addition practices and quality management among maize farmers in Kiryandongo district. The objectives were; to examine the relationship between agro-credit facility and quality management; examine the relationship between value-addition practices and quality management; and examine the joint relationship between agro-credit facility, value addition and quality management among maize farmers. The study was a cross-sectional design which applied a quantitative approach. The sample comprised 236 maize farmers, selected using systematic sampling from a population of 575 maize farmers in Kiryandongo district. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain data. SPSS (v 25) was applied in data analysis to obtain a frequency table, Pearson Correlation and Hierarchical Regression Models for interpretation of results. The study found a positive association between agro-credit facility and quality management. There was a positive relationship between value addition practices and quality management among maize farmers. Furthermore, the study obtained that agro-credit facility and quality management are significant predictors for quality management among maize farmers. Agro-credit facility was found to cause higher predictability towards quality management compared to value-addition practices. The study concludes that ensuring quality management for maize cannot manifest to some extent without agro-credit facility and value addition. The study recommends; flexing terms and conditions for accessing agro-credit facility to farmers; increasing credit accessibility; and stimulating efficiency in extending agro-credit facility to farmers.
