The study employed a cross-sectional survey design. From a total population of 107,209 households, a sample of 384 households was determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s (1970) formula and selected through simple random sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and the responses were tabulated and analysed using SPSS software. Pearson’ correlation coefficient was used to assess the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. Additionally, regression analysis was used to examine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. Mediation analysis was performed using the Sobel test within SPSS to investigate any mediating effects. The findings reveal that agency banking is positively correlated with financial inclusion, indicating its essential role in improving access to financial services. Secondly, a strong correlation exists between agency banking and liquidity management, suggesting that enhancing agency banking practices can substantially improve liquidity. Thirdly, liquidity management shows a very strong positive correlation with financial inclusion, emphasizing its critical contribution to accessing financial services. Lastly, the results indicate that liquidity management mediates the relationship between agency banking and financial inclusion, highlighting that while agency banking directly impacts financial inclusion, its effects are enhanced through improved liquidity management. Financial institutions should strengthen their support for agency banking by providing comprehensive training and resources for agents. This includes educating agents about the full range of financial products available and effective customer engagement techniques.
