An exploratory qualitative design was adopted. Eight participants who were recruited following a point of data saturation principle participated in the study and their interviews were suitable for analysis. Thematic qualitative data analysis was employed in this study. On the state of construction projects, results revealed that some projects are complete and meeting quality standards, some have been completed but with poor quality and others have not commenced. The study also showed that money can either directly or indirectly help a project succeed by drawing in qualified contractors and funding, motivation of stakeholders and enable monitoring and evaluation which are vital for project success. Further, it was revealed that stakeholder engagement is vital as it enables obtaining project funds, lobbying for funds, monitoring and evaluation of projects, and support for projects all of which are vital for project success. Given the above results, the study recommends that KCCA should solicit for enough funding, ensure stakeholder engagement in order to realise successful construction education projects.
