    ICT Adoption, Process Innovation and Performance of Medium Enterprises in Kampala District.

    Performance of MEs is inevitable for enhancing growth and survival of medium enterprises. Moreover, many enterprises in Kampala continue to face performance mishaps. This study was instituted to investigate the relationship between ICT Adoption, Process innovation and performance of MEs in Kampala District. It was a cross-sectional design which applied a quantitative research approach. The sample comprised 307 medium enterprises categorized in terms of; industry or manufacturing, trade & commerce and service enterprises. Data in the enterprises was obtained from a finance in-charge using a questionnaire. The tool was tested for validity using CVI and reliability through pretesting and running Cronbach Alpha. SPSS v. 25 was applied to analyze data, and results were presented using frequency tables, correlation, and regression. The findings found a positive association between ICT adoption and performance of MEs. There was a positive association between process innovation and performance of MEs. It was noticed that process innovation partially mediated the relationship between ICT adoption and performance of MEs. The findings also the significant predictability of ICT adoption and process innovation towards performance of MEs, further establishing that process innovation was a better predictor. The research concludes that ICT adoption and process innovation are important factors whose manifestation is inevitable in determining the magnitude to which medium enterprises perform. It recommends MEs to; continuously embrace ICT adoption; and enhance process innovation. farmers in Western Uganda.
