- ItemCollaborative Risk Management in Not-For-Profit Organization Supply Chains in Uganda.(Makerere University Business School, 2021-11-30) Mulindwa, Henry JonathanThis study examined the relationship between institutional pressure, dynamic capabilities, adaptability and collaborative risk management in not-for-profit organizations in Uganda. The objectives of the study were to examine the relationship between dynamic capabilities and collaborative risk management in not-for-profit organizations supply chain, to establish the relationship between institutional pressure and collaborative risk management in not-for-profit organizations supply chain, to assess the relationship between adaptability and collaborative risk management in not-for-profit organizations supply chain, to establish the relationship between institutional pressure and adaptability in not-for-profit organizations supply chain and to assess the relationship between Dynamic capabilities and adaptability in supply chains of not for profit organizations. The study was based on a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. Data was collected using a questionnaire and the researcher targeted a total of 313 not for profit organizations but got information from 280 only. Results indicate that institutional pressure, adaptability and dynamic capabilities significantly influenced collaborative risk management, institutional pressure and dynamic capabilities positively influenced adaptability. It was recommended that NGOs and related entities should promote institutional capacity, NGOs need to set up clearer communication avenues for information to flow all ways between and among the different stakeholders in their supply chains, and that these organizations need to promote the adaptability of their entities to ensure better collaborative risk management.
