    An Examination of Stakeholder Management Practices at Life Net International in Uganda

    The study examined the stakeholder management practices, identified challenges and strategies for enhancing stakeholder management practices at Life Net International in Uganda. The objectives of the study were to examine stakeholder management practices at Life Net international in Uganda; identify the challenges associated with stakeholder management practices at Life Net international in Uganda; and establish the appropriate strategies for enhancing stakeholder management at Life Net international in Uganda. This was a descriptive survey research design which adopted a quantitative research approach. A sample of 67 stakeholders from a population of 72 was used. The sample comprised employees, church dioceses leaders, district health coordinators, health facility leaders and health trainers. Simple random sampling was used to select employees, health facilities leaders and health trainers while district health coordinators and church dioceses leaders were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Primary data was obtained using a structured questionnaire. Validity of the instrument was determined by expert judgment and CVI. Reliability was examined using pretesting and Cronbach Alpha coefficient. SPSS v.25 was used to analyze data, obtaining descriptive statistics to interpret results. The study found that stakeholder management practices within Life Net International was prevalent. Involvement was the most prevalent practice, followed by communication, collaboration and lastly consultation. The major challenges of stakeholder management practices in Life Net International Ltd were inadequate resources to sustain engagement activities; low commitment among project managers; inadequate communication; and negative attitude towards engagement. The study found out that the strategies for enhancing stakeholder management practices in Life Net International were; effective communication, increased transparency, conducting consultations and management commitment, involvement of stakeholders and capacity building. This study recommends; improved communication with various stakeholders; improved transparency; continual consultation; and collaboration to enhance stakeholder management practices.
