    Technology Infrastructure Capability, Stakeholder Engagement, And Electronic Government Procurement Adoption Readiness in Procuring and Disposing Entities (Pdes) In Uganda.

    The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between technology infrastructure capability, stakeholder engagement and e-GP adoption readiness among government Procuring and Disposal Entities (PDEs) in Uganda. The study was guided by three objectives; to examine the relationship between technology infrastructure capability and e-GP adoption readiness among Government PDEs in Uganda, to establish the relationship between stakeholder engagement and e-GP adoption readiness among Government PDEs in Uganda, to examine the combined effect of technology infrastructure capability and stakeholder engagement on e-GP adoption readiness among Procuring and disposing entities in Uganda. The study adopted a cross-sectional design while the Unit of analysis was PDEs and the unit of inquiry were procurement unit heads. The population constituted 131 PDEs in Uganda while the study sample was 103 PDEs. Primary data collected through self-administered questionnaire was used. Correlation and regression analyses were used to analyse the data. The study found a strong and positive relationship between technology infrastructure capability and e-GP adoption readiness. Similarly, stakeholder engagement demonstrated a significant positive impact on e-GP adoption readiness. Technology infrastructure capability and stakeholder engagement collectively were found to explain approximately 41.7% of the variance in e-GP adoption readiness. This underscores the necessity for an integrated approach that combines technological advancements with effective stakeholder management strategies as well as the critical importance of technology infrastructure capability and stakeholder engagement in enhancing e-GP adoption readiness among PDEs in Uganda. The study recommends that Public Procurement Entities (PDEs) in Uganda should prioritize substantial investments in upgrading and maintaining their technological infrastructure. And PDES need to develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies. These strategies should focus on regular communication, information sharing, and consultation with all relevant stakeholders such as user departments and suppliers.
