    Internal Control, Stakeholder Participation and Financial Accountability in Government Aided Secondary Schools in West Nile Region Uganda.

    The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between internal control, stakeholder participation, and financial accountability in government-aided secondary schools in west Nile region of Uganda. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted from a population of 71 government-aided secondary schools and a sample size of 63 schools, each receiving four questionnaires, making a total of 252 respondents. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires that were either hand-delivered or emailed to respondents. Overall, filled questionnaires were received from 210 respondents, representing a response rate of 83.3% was attained for analysis. The analysis of data involved correlation and regression analysis for answering the research questions in accordance with the study objectives. The results revealed a positive and significant relationship between internal control, stakeholder participation, and financial accountability in government-aided secondary schools in West Nile region of Uganda.
