    Interactive Participation, Collaboration and Project Success among NGO's Implementing Health Projects in Kumi District.

    The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between interactive participation, collaboration and project success. The study was guided by the following research objectives: To examine the relationship between interactive participation and project success among NGOs Implementing health projects in Kumi district; To examine the relationship between collaboration and project success among NGOs Implementing health projects in Kumi district; and, To examine the combined effect of interactive participation, collaboration on project success among NGOs Implementing health projects in Kumi district The study adopted across-sectional survey design drawing on a mixed method of quantitative approaches. Using the Krejcie and Morgan table (1970), a sample size of 108 NGOs implementing health projects was selected from a study population of 150 NGOs. Data was collected questionnaires and key informant interviews. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). The results showed a correlation of (r = 0.322) indicating a significant positive relationship between interactive participation and project success. A correlation of (r=.778, p<.01) revealed a significant and positive relationship between collaboration and project success. The results revealed that the beta weight for the basic relationship between interactive participation and project success was significant [c= (r=332, p<.001)]. Results revealed Adj. r 2 =.597 in relation to the predictability of interactive participation and collaboration towards project success. These results meant that jointly interactive participation and collaboration examined 59.7% of the variances in project success. The study therefore recommends that interactive participation should be continually improved to stimulate project success. NGOs extending health projects must frequently hold interactive meetings with stakeholders to acquire feedback which can facilitate better decisions. The study also suggests that NGOs should increase collaboration with stakeholders to facilitate project success. Projects should enhance a two-way communication, intensify coordination and synchronicity with all stakeholders to guarantee such collaboration.
