Information And Communications Technology Adoption and Project Performance: A Case of The NORHED Projects In Uganda.
(Makerere University Business School, 2023-11-23) Akampa Arthur
This research paper analyses the correlation between Information Communication Technologies and project performance of NORHED projects in Uganda. To answer this question, the researcher compared project performance against self-administered questionnaires that detailed ICT adoption measures, that is, communication technologies, Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), and Management Decision Support (MDS) Systems. 32 projects were their response rate out of the 37 projects in Uganda. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between ICT and project performance. The results revealed that communication technologies are the highest predictor of ICT adoption, and enhanced project performance comes mainly from communication among the stakeholders in the project. The implications of this study could be used to promote ICT usage in projects.
