dc.description.abstractThe study sought to examine the relationship between project governance mechanisms, organizational rationality and project success with the MOES Uganda Post Primary Education and Training Expansion and Improvement (UPPETEI) project. The main objectives of the study were to analyze the relationship between project governance mechanisms and project success; organizational rationality and project success; and the relationship between project governance mechanisms, organizational rationality and project success of the MOES UPPET project. The study undertook a cross sectional survey design with a population of 64 schools. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Findings indicated that there were both positive and significant relationships between project governance mechanisms, organizational rationality and project success in the MOES Uganda Post Primary Education and Training Expansion and Improvement (UPPETEI) project. Results from regression analysis showed that project governance mechanisms and organizational rationality were significant predictors of project success of the MOES UPPETEI project. The study recommends that further studies should be carried out comprising of other factors which were not part of the model. The stakeholders in the education sector should develop strategies in line with the study variable relationships to enhance the MOES UPPETEI project success in Uganda.en_US
